The partnership between Maine YogaFest and Jade was a no brainer.
Owned by husband and wife team, Nancy & John Charlebois, Jade has become a hub for healing and self exploration. They support other local businesses and are at the forefront of wellness in Portland. Jade will have a booth set up all weekend offering free traditional and Tui Na massage and will also be able to offer some one on one assistance for certain yoga poses which offers an opportunity for MYF participants to address their individual yoga challenges with one of Jade's therapists. They are also sponsoring the Yamuna Body Rolling Workshop which is one of their yoga class specialties!

Q&A with Jade Integrated Health
Maine YogaFest: Why did you want to be involved with MYF?
Jade Integrated: We wanted to be involved with MYF because it is right in our back yard and we love practicing and teaching yoga! It is exciting to have so many yoga resources in one place and to connect with instructors from all over the state. We look at MYF as an opportunity for both learning and teaching.
MYF: What does yoga mean to you as a professional business man/woman?
JI: Our integrative health practice began offering yoga about 5 years ago. It has allowed our clinical practice to grow in a balanced way while offering a therapeutic modality to out patients. As individuals, yoga has helped all of us at Jade practice what we preach to our patients! Yoga keeps us physically active, mindful and focused while balancing busy professional and personal lives.
MYF: How has yoga helped you or your clients?
JI: Yoga and Yamuna Body Rolling have been a wonderful introduction to our patients recovering from injuries. Yoga, incorporated with physical therapy or acupuncture, allows us to build strength, flexibility, balance and pain management into a treatment plan. We are able to offer one on one therapeutic yoga and YBR instruction as well as small group classes. Our goal is to offer individual attention in every yoga experience so that students are able to develop a SAFE and fulfilling yoga practice.
