Carissa Ciuca (eRYT-200) invites students to be honest with themselves and interpret the sensations in the body and breath as whispered instructions (sometimes shouts!) for how to live the best life. Her classes are infused with great music, plenty of options and encouragement. She blends a creative, steady flowing class with a healthy dose of alignment cues, balancing humor and modern modifications with traditional yoga philosophy and practices.
Sweat & Surrender:
Learn the mechanics of lift off, from how to engage the core and the body’s energy centers, to useful breaths and where to place Part A and Part B and how to effectively use props for support as you build strength, courage and knowledge. This is a workshop for those who are beginning to learn arm balances and inversions, but have a basic asana practice and are injury-free.
Fun Fact Friday:
Yoga helps me open my awareness to more than just the thoughts racing through my mind. Noticing the breath in practice, listening to sensation in the body - translates into deeper conversations, more meaningful work, stronger bonds with family, discipline and joy.

Something my students/clients don't know about me:
