MYF Workshop: Journey Dance:
First yoga experience? My first yoga experience that I can remember was a little paperback book that my mom had. It had black and white photos and I was totally hooked as soon as I saw lions pose.
Favorite Maine Adventure? One of my favorite Maine adventures happened last summer. My son and I went up to Baxter state park and camped, climbed katahdin and the next day went skydiving. I was so grateful to my yoga practice not only for giving me the physical stamina to do that but also the mental/emotional fortitude to be present and at ease with it all. Even jumping out of a perfectly good airplane! Such a fun and empowering few days!
Top benefit from a regular practice? Top benefit from regular practice is not only feeling healthy and strong physically but calm and connected to a deeper place within me that allows me to be in all sorts of different situations - sometimes very challenging ones. And to be present and available for whatever is happening - both inside of me and around me. I love to travel internationally and challenge myself with new situations as a way of gauging my resilience and ability to stay calm under pressure.
