Hailing from planet Earth, Amelia is a lover of play. She first found her flow through yoga in 2006, and hasn't looked back, except for this bio. She landed in Portland, Maine in January of 2012 after bouncing around the US for a few years. During her bouncing, she picked up notable certifications in 2010 for Hoop Dance and Yoga. She studied with Anah a.k.a. "Hoopalicious" in Joshua Tree, CA to become a Hoop Mentor. A month later, she found herself at Discovery Yoga Center in St. Augustine, FL studying to be a Kripalu Yoga teacher. She's since taught in several locations in Maine and around New England. Other notches in her belt include Permaculture Design, a BA in Art from Plymouth State University, Thai Yoga Bodyworker, and Polarity Practitioner. She is currently playing Holistic Massage Student at Spa Tech Institute.
Hoop Dance - A fantastically fun way to spin your meditation into motion. We'll start out with the basic movements, then play with the path of the hoop on and off body. Then we'll explore tricks. This workshop is great for beginners and those looking to refine their skills. Amelia will be available throughout the festival for refreshers and more advanced tips and tricks.
