Sarah experienced deep synergy with Yoga when she attended her first class at a local library in her hometown of Baltimore. That was over 20 years ago! Since then she has been a dedicated practitioner, later becoming a Yoga teacher in 2009. In 2012, she received her Advanced Yoga Teacher certification with Asheville Yoga Center, and currently has over 2000 hours of teaching.
In addition to offering a variety of Yoga styles, classes, and workshops, she provides free Yoga and Mindfulness sessions, geared towards “at-risk” populations, to non-profit organizations in the greater Portland area.
Sarah is also a life-long paddler, water person and a Registered Maine Guide. She started off canoeing at age 6 and then picked up other water sports in her adult years, though she resonates the most with SUP. She loves exploring the ocean as well as inland lakes and rivers. Sarah is a Level 1 SUP Instructor with ASI (Academy of Surfing Instructors).
Sarah also has a special place in her heart for the tropics and enjoys co-teaching SUP and Yoga retreats during the winter there. She is looking forward to teaching SUP Yoga and guiding private SUP tours and lessons with Portland Paddle and Black Point Surf Shop this summer.
