Teaching Philosophy

Nicole’s classes are dynamic and Vinyasa-based, focusing on breath, alignment, and meditation. Her teaching style offers both energizing and restorative flows, always emphasizing fun, a sense of exploration, and being in the present moment. Students are left feeling both enlivened and relaxed with a new sense of mind and body connection. Group classes are designed to help students create space and strength within their physical bodies on the mat, so that they may incorporate the practice into their daily lives with greater awareness. Nicole’s aim is to offer a safe space where students can explore their thoughts, bodies, and spiritual practice without judgement or fear.
Nicole began her Yoga journey in 2003 and, over the years, continued to explore and dive into her practice. In 2014, she completed her first 200-hour yoga teacher training at Jai Yoga Arts in Brooklyn, NY. Since then, she has received a second 250-hour training from Caribe Yoga Academy in Puerto Viejo, Costa Rica, completed her Vinyasa Teacher Training at the Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health, and is currently working toward her 500-hour certification. With over 2,000 teaching hours, Nicole has come to learn that one size does not fit all and encourages students to work with their own bodies, breath, and experiences. Through her Yoga practice, Nicole became deeply interested in the mind-body connection. This interest led her to become a certified Souluna Life Coach in 2017 and she is currently working toward her MS in Mental Health Counseling at Pace University in New York. Nicole’s goal is to inspire others to empower themselves through yoga, coaching, and community for the sake of creating a happier and healthier society, one person and one practice at a time.
