Darcy began teaching at Portland Power Yoga in January, 2009. A regular practitioner since October, 2007, her love of the practice and her desire to share what she had found with others led her to attend Level 1 Teacher Training with Baron Baptiste in Tulum, Mexico in 2008.She continued her teacher training at Portland Power Yoga under the tutelage of Alice Riccardi and completed her 200 RYT in October, 2012. While much of her teaching remains rooted in Baptiste Power Yoga, Darcy also finds inspiration from Bryan Kest and plans to attend teacher training with him later in 2015. Along the way she completed Hip Hop Yoga Training with Lynne Begier and began teaching her own brand of music-based yoga classes called Funk 'n Flow Yoga. These classes have become a much anticipated specialty class at Portland Power Yoga.

A fixture in the fitness industry in Portland for over twenty years, Darcy has worked as both a group fitness instructor and personal trainer. Fusing music, fitness, dance and yoga all together together was the next step, and Buti Yoga provided the perfect platform for that. Darcy attended both Level One and Level Two Buti Yoga training in 2014 and quickly began teaching it to an ever-growing Buti tribe.  She divides her teaching time between Lifestyle Fitness Center in Scarborough and Portland Power Yoga. Her love of dance and movement, along with her unique sense of humor, make her a much sought after teacher.
She has studied both Anatomy and Physiology along with Kinesiology at USM. She also graduated from the New Hampshire Institute of Therapeutic Arts and is a Licensed Massage Therapist in the State of Maine. Her specialty is a Hawaiian style of bodywork called LomiLomi. She is also a Level II Reiki practitioner.

Intent on continuing the transformation that began when she attended her first class at Portland Power Yoga, Darcy attended the Landmark Forum in September, 2009 and the Landmark Advanced Course in December, 2009. She credits the Landmark Education curriculum with unearthing many of the tools needed to live an extraordinary life.

Darcy is currently the Director of Teachers at Portland Power Yoga. She is honored to be among such an amazing and uniquely gifted group of teachers and students.
