Josh Warren, MS, LMT, holds a Masters Degree in Exercise Science concentrating in Sport Psychology from Ithaca College. He founded neuromuscularbalancing.com to share his passion for and approach to empowered optimal living. Josh lived with low back pain for over 7 years, which was unfortunately exacerbated even with yoga and nothing else was working. After finding a simple practice to start bringing the body into alignment, the pain quickly resolved. It became apparent to shift career paths to consulting and bodywork to share this knowledge. He learned to identify short and tight vs. long and tight muscles and use Neuromuscular Balancing techniques to bring the body toward balance. This approach makes common sense, yet doesn't seem to be common knowledge.

Josh was the founder and developer of Integrated Tennis, a unique training method that combines western Sport Psychology with eastern Yoga along with the Neuromuscular Balancing approach.

As Head Women’s Tennis Coach, Josh started Husson University’s first tennis team in 2015 in Bangor, ME. They rapidly advanced by winning their conference and making it to the NCAA Tournament in just four years while the team maintained above a 3.5 GPA.

Josh worked at Sankaty Head Golf Club, Nantucket Island, MA, for nine consecutive seasons and was the Head Tennis Professional, directing all aspects of the program in his last three years. Currently he is the Head Tennis Professional at the Harbor Club, Seal Harbor, ME.

He has experience coaching in a variety of settings including Van Der Meer Tennis Academy, Hilton Head, SC, Ithaca College, Colby College, and Armstrong Tennis Center. Josh has taught at the Yoga Teacher and Integrated Positional Therapy Trainings at Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health in the Berkshire Mountains, Stockbridge, MA. He leads Integrated Tennis and Neuromuscular Balance sessions with individuals and groups and speaks at international symposiums.

Josh contributed to the "Mental Mechanics" chapter of The Tennis Drill Book 2nd Ed. 2014 Human Kinetics, written by Tina Hoskins-Burney and Lex Carrington. Josh also helped edit Yoga for Pain Relief: A New Aproach to an Ancient Practice by Lee Albert, which received the 2018 Gold award in the Health and Fitness category. He also wrote the Yoga chapter in Dr. Alabaster's Peak Performance book that is coming out soon.
