SATJEET KAUR

Satjeet Kaur, RYT, teaches Kundalini yoga & meditation and specializes in yoga for addictions, chronic illnesses (Cancer, Diabetes +), pre-natal, PTSD and stress relief. Satjeet has been practicing Hatha and other forms of yoga since 1991. Following a series of spinal injuries in her early 20’s, she discovered the science of Kundalini Yoga and experienced its healing benefits. She now has a deep desire to share this healing experience with others through workshops, retreats and private yoga therapy sessions that are tailored to individuals’ needs and abilities. Her classes combine mantra (sound), mudra (hand position), pranayam (breath work), asana (posture/movement) and meditation, and she often plays the symphonic gong in support of deep, vibrational healing.

Satjeet completed the 200-hour teacher training program in Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yoga Bhajan® in 2007 as well as advanced teacher trainings in The Khalsa Way® Pregnancy Yoga, SuperHealth® Yogic Science to Break Habits & Addictive Behaviors, and she is midway through a 1000-hour Yoga Therapy program that complies with the new standards set by the IAYT. Satjeet was also one of 70 yoga teachers who participated in New York City’s Urban Zen Pilot Program for Integrative Yoga Therapy and Patient Advocacy (May 2007). She is an active member of the Yoga Alliance and the International Association of Yoga Therapists (IAYT).
