I love yoga. My practice began in the fall of 2006, while I was training for the Boston Marathon. After my first class, I felt amazing. Soon, I was hooked. It was no secret to my family, friends and complete strangers that yoga had my heart. There was a marked change in my way of being. I found calm, and the space for quiet self-reflection. I welcomed a new sense of rhythm and balance. Then, I received my 200 hour Registered Yoga Teacher certification and began to work with one of my greatest teachers, Jacqui Bonwell. She is a profound inspiration in my life.
Yoga is a gift. It reminds me to slow down, to breathe, and to meet myself exactly where I am. As a yoga teacher, I teach with the intention of guiding my students towards that space, finding a soulful practice that feels right, in the interest of calming mind, opening heart, and restoring body. |
In addition to teaching yoga, I am blessed with the opportunity to weave my passion for music with my great love for yoga. Music is a powerful and beautiful compliment to the ancient practice. I am honored to play for dynamic teachers as they guide their class through the flow, offering students a sense of rhythm, soothing sounds, and healing vibrations. With my guitar in tow, I serenade yogis at studios across the Greater Boston area. As we breathe space into our hearts, we create room for joy, peace, and the healing sound of song to enter.
