PORTLAND PADDLE is located at the very end of Cutter Street, where the road meets the ocean. Their office is seasonal and does not have a street number. We're a short walk or drive from downtown Portland.
DRIVING: If you are driving from anywhere in the city, head north on Congress Street until the road ends and you can see Casco Bay. Take a right onto the Eastern Promenade and drive about 1/4 mile with the hillside park on your left before taking a left onto Cutter Street. All parking spots on Cutter Street or in the Eastern Promenade residential area are within a short walk our site and all are free of charge. Rather than driving all the way down Cutter Street to the very bottom of the hill it's usually best to park somewhere in the middle, since the parking spots at the very bottom are limited to two hours or less. We suggest you park in the all-day parking that you'll find in the big lots halfway down the hill. You are very likely to get ticketed if you park too long in a short-term space or in a space that's reserved for boat trailers. With the new parking lot configuration, you may need to park in the residential area at the top of the Eastern Promenade.
WALKING: If you are walking from the Old Port or anywhere in downtown Portland, you can either follow the driving directions above or walk along the scenic Eastern Promenade Trail until you see us. It's roughly 1 mile from the Old Port waterfront to our site. We strongly suggest taking the stroll along Portland Harbor to our site if staying in Old Port! A trail map can be found here.
WALKING FROM THE EAST END COMMUNITY CENTER: If you are walking from the EEC School, walk East along the scenic Eastern Promenade toward the Casco Bay Channel, you'll see the East End Boat Launch, Parking Lot and PORTLAND PADDLE at the bottom of the hill. It's roughly a 15 minute. A trail map can also be found here
