Alexis McCoy

Alexis McCoy began practicing yoga regularly after winning a “march madness” style fitness competition in 2011. The grand prize was 1 year of unlimited yoga at a local Portland studio. One year of sweaty vinyasa later, her mind, body, and life were transformed!

Alexis’ favorite thing about yoga is that it can benefit everybody, no matter your age or lifestyle. As a competitive runner, she understands most people stepping onto their mat are not as flexible as they want to be. Her teaching incorporates modifications for athletes or desk warriors with tight hips, as well as suggestions to take your practice deeper. Alexis hopes to challenge her students and to also help them learn when to nurture as well.

Alexis is a graduate of Sacred Seeds Yoga School and continues to be inspired by her teacher, Jacqui Bonwell.

Allegra Hirsh-Wright

Allegra began regularly practicing yoga when a couple of friends convinced her she needed to try heated yoga on a cold, winter morning.  She was hooked within the first 5 minutes.  Since then yoga has become so much more than a way to get out of the cold.  Practicing vinyasa yoga has helped Allegra bring balance, breath, peace and strength back into her life.  As a trauma and cancer survivor, Allegra believes finding the balance between the physical and emotional are key in healing.  Through teaching, Allegra hopes to share this practice with others so they can find the balance, as well.

Allegra completed her 200 hour teacher training with master teacher, Jacqui Bonwell, of Scared Seeds Yoga.  Allegra credits her style of teaching to Jacqui, as well as teachers Danielle Toolin, Heidi McVane and Leni Kotsonis, at Greener Postures.

When not on her physical mat, Allegra enjoys her work as a licensed clinical social worker, in the field of childhood exposure to violence and trauma.  Allegra also enjoys spending time with her wife, son, and friends, as well as being an advocate for all things orange!
